Mean-field behavior with Gaussian fluctuations at the ferromagnetic phase transition of SrRuO3

چکیده
Specific heat, resistivity, and magnetization have been measured through the ferromagnetic critical point for single-crystal SrRuO3 . All data are well fitted to small reduced temperatures with mean-field critical exponents including Gaussian fluctuations. The specific heat and temperature derivative of resistivity scale with each other, confirming the Fisher-Langer relation. A long magnetic correlation length due to 4d-electron itinerancy is likely responsible for the mean-field behavior.

Interface control of electronic transport across the magnetic phase transition in SrRuO3/SrTiO3 heterointerface
The emerging material class of complex-oxides, where manipulation of physical properties lead to new functionalities at their heterointerfaces, is expected to open new frontiers in Spintronics. For example, SrRuO3 is a promising material where external stimuli like strain, temperature and structural distortions control the stability of electronic and magnetic states, across its magnetic phase t...
متن کاملQuantum critical behavior of itinerant ferromagnets
We investigate the quantum phase transition of itinerant ferromagnets. It is shown that correlation effects in the underlying itinerant electron system lead to singularities in the order parameter field theory that result in an effective long-range interaction between the spin fluctuations. This interaction turns out to be generically antiferromagnetic for clean systems. In disordered systems a...

In this paper, using high order perturbative series expansion method, the critical exponents of the order parameter and susceptibility in transition from ferromagnetic to disordered phases for 1D quantum Ising model in transverse field, with ferromagnetic nearest neighbor and anti-ferromagnetic next to nearest neighbor interactions, are calculated. It is found that for small value of the frustr...

We present a simulation study of the equilibrium thermodynamic behavior of semiflexible diblock copolymer melts. Using discretized wormlike chains and field-theoretic Monte Carlo, we find that concentration fluctuations play a critical role in controlling phase transitions of semiflexible diblock copolymers. Polymer flexibility and aspect ratio control the order− disorder transition Flory−Huggi...

We present fully self-consistent calculations in the fluctuation exchange approximation for the half-filled Hubbard model in 2D. A non-fermi liquid state evolves with decreasing temperature in this self-consistent model of coupled spin fluctuations and quasiparticles. The mean field phase transition to long-range antiferromagnetic order is suppressed and we find no evidence of a phase transitio...
